Terms & Conditions

Order Submission & Confirmation

- Placing an order and completing payment on our website constitutes a binding sales contract under U.S. contract law, with additional compliance obligations for furniture products per CARB, ASTM F2057, and Prop 65 regulations.
- For customized furniture (e.g., custom-sized wardrobe, partitioned storage cabinet) or tatami mats, we will send a design confirmation email with dimensions, material specifications, and compliance disclaimers within 1 business day of your order. Production will only begin after we receive your written approval, and all customized items undergo additional CARB compliance testing.
- We reserve the right to cancel orders in the following cases:
- Insufficient inventory or product discontinuation, especially for items subject to regulatory compliance updates.
- Pricing errors due to website technical issues.
- Invalid or incomplete shipping information (e.g., no physical address for freight items, insufficient access details) that may delay delivery or installation.
- Suspected fraudulent transactions (e.g., stolen credit cards) to protect our customers and maintain compliance integrity.
- Failure to confirm customization details within 7 business days (to avoid delays in production and compliance testing).
- Order cancellations requested within 12 hours of purchase are free of charge. Cancellations after 12 hours (but before shipment) are subject to a 5% processing fee. Once items have been picked up by the freight carrier, cancellations are only possible upon delivery, following our return policy.
- Cancelled orders will be fully refunded within 3 business days (excluding applicable processing fees). For customized orders cancelled after production has started, a 20% production fee will be deducted from the refund, covering compliance testing and material costs.

Product Information & Liability

- Product descriptions, specifications (e.g., wardrobe dimensions, storage cabinet load capacity, tatami mat thickness), and images are for reference only, but we ensure all products meet strict U.S. compliance standards: CARB Phase 2 formaldehyde emission limits (≤0.09 ppm for particleboard, ≤0.11 ppm for MDF), ASTM F2057 stability standards for tall furniture, and Prop 65 warnings for products containing regulated chemicals. Minor variations (e.g., wood grain, color shades) are not considered defects.
- We are not liable for dissatisfaction caused by personal preferences (e.g., wardrobe size not fitting space, tatami mat firmness not meeting expectations) or incorrect space measurement. We recommend verifying product dimensions against your space before purchase and contacting our team for sizing guidance.
- We are not responsible for damages or injuries caused by improper installation (e.g., failure to install anti-tip kits for tall storage cabinets), overloading furniture beyond stated capacity, or improper use (e.g., placing tatami mats in high-moisture areas without protection). All furniture must be installed per the included instructions to meet safety standards.
- We are not liable for damages caused by commercial use of residential furniture, as our products are designed for home use only. Commercial clients must contact us for specialized commercial-grade products.

User Obligations

- Provide true, accurate, and complete information when placing an order (including custom dimensions, delivery access details, and contact information). You are responsible for delivery delays, installation issues, or additional freight costs caused by incorrect information.
- Do not resell our products for commercial purposes without our prior written authorization (except for authorized retailers with a wholesale agreement and compliance certification).
- Comply with all U.S. safety laws and regulations when using our products, including installing anti-tip kits for tall furniture (per ASTM F2057), following weight limits for storage cabinets, and adhering to Prop 65 warnings (if applicable).
- Refrain from fraudulent activities (e.g., false defect claims, returning used furniture as new). We reserve the right to refuse service to customers who violate these policies, especially to protect compliance integrity.

Intellectual Property Rights

- All content on our website (product images, descriptions, logos, furniture designs, compliance guides) is protected by U.S. copyright and trademark laws and is owned by Home Storage Solutions USA or its authorized licensors.

Limitation of Liability

- To the maximum extent permitted by U.S. law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., inconvenience, space planning delays, additional costs due to freight delays) arising from the purchase or use of our products, provided the products meet compliance and safety standards.
- Our total liability for direct damages (e.g., defective products causing property damage) shall not exceed the purchase price of the affected item, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence in compliance with safety standards.
- We are not liable for order delays or failures caused by force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, CARB regulatory updates, freight carrier strikes) beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will offer affected customers the option of a refund, exchange, or order modification.

Dispute Resolution

- Any disputes arising from the purchase or use of our products shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation between you and our customer service team, with priority given to resolving compliance and safety-related issues promptly.
